The latest speculation in the Spanish media today suggests that La Liga giants Barcelona have made almost the club’s entire squad available for transfer this summer.
Quique Setien’s men were of course the victims of one of the most embarrassing defeats in the recent history of European football on Friday night.
The Blaugrana got their Champions League campaign back underway, in a quarter-final meeting with German champions Bayern Munich.
The latter of course headed into proceedings as widespread favourites to advance, amid a scintillating recent spell of form.
Few, if any, though, could have predicted quite the level of hammering that would subsequently be forthcoming over the course of the 90 minutes in the Portuguese capital.
A stunning attacking performance on the part of Bayern, coupled with a historically dreadful defensive display from Barcelona, eventually resulted in the former running out 8-2 victors.
All of Thomas Muller (2), Ivan Perisic, Serge Gnabry, Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski and, most notably, Barca loanee Philippe Coutinho (2) were on target, as Bayern marched on to the Champions League’s semi-finals in the most comprehensive fashion imaginable.

For Barcelona, on the other hand, the question of course now becomes just where do the Catalan giants go from here?
An overhaul from top to bottom appears needed at the Camp Nou, with president Josep Maria Bartomeu and manager Quique Setien among those unlikely to have any kind of long-term future at the club.
Another major issue, however, surrounds the Blaugrana’s playing squad.
Aging individuals on bloated wages account for a concerning percentage of the first-team setup at the Camp Nou, a model that is simply not sustainable for any club, let alone one in desperate need of a rebuild.
As outlined above, though, the transfer chiefs at the Camp Nou now appear ready to take drastic action to remedy this situation.
As per a report from Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona have placed almost the club’s entire squad up for sale this summer.
The key names touted to move on come in the form of Luis Suarez, Ousmane Dembele and even Jordi Alba.
Just 5 players are said to have been deemed untouchable, in the form of Lionel Messi, Marc-André ter Stegen and Frenkie de Jong, along with youngsters Ansu Fati and Riqui Puig.
