A recent report in the English media has named a number of Premier League outfits as keen on the loan signing of Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster.
Brewster shines at Swansea
Brewster, 20, has been on Liverpool’s books since 2015, after joining from Chelsea’s youth set-up.
The forward went on to impress in the Reds youth ranks, especially for their under-23 side.
However, Brewster has, so far, struggled to break into the club’s first-team setup, notching just three appearances under Jurgen Klopp.
To aid Brewster’s development, Liverpool sent the Englishman out on loan for the second half of the 2019/20 campaign, when he joined Championship outfit Swansea.
And to say that Brewster went on to take advantage of this chance to shine would be something of an understatement.
All told, in 20 Championship outings for the Welsh outfit, Brewster managed to notch 10 goals, playing a key role in Swansea securing a play-off spot.
The young attacker also found the net during the play-off semi-finals, though his strike did not prove enough to help Swansea past Brentford.
Brewster set for Premier League loan?
Now, with an impressive senior stint under his belt, Brewster looks set to make a step up.
As per Goal:
Liverpool have been encouraged by his progress, and believe a Premier League loan would be the ideal next step – provided they can find a club where he will get the necessary game time.
Brewster certainly doesn’t look set to be short on options ahead of next season, as Goal name a host of potentially interested parties, many of whom come in the form of Premier League clubs.
Aston Villa are the side most persistently mentioned by Goal.
But it is also claimed that all of Newcastle, Burnley, Brighton and Crystal Palace have made inquiries for Brewster.
