Danny Ings impressing
Danny Ings joined Tottenham permanently in the summer of 2019.
The Saints are understood to have paid Liverpool just shy of £20m for the hitman.
Said fee looks to have been a real bargain, with Ings cementing a name for himself as one of the Premier League’s top forwards in recent times.
2019/20 saw Ings net a staggering 22 goals and provide two assists in 38 league outings.
And though the 28-year-old has been slightly hampered by fitness issues this campaign, he has still be solid.
In 13 league ties this season, Ings has managed to net seven and provide three assists, with the latest of those strikes handing Southampton a huge 1-0 win over current Premier League champions, Liverpool:

Tottenham linked with Danny Ings
With Ings in such fine form, Southampton would no doubt wish to maintain his services for as long as possible.
However, Ings has less than 18 months remaining on his current deal.
And according to a recent report from Euro Sport, Ings was expected to sign a new contract at the end of 2020 but is stalling on terms.
The same report from Euro Sport also credits Tottenham with an intertest in the forward.
It is stated that Spurs are planning to explore whether Ings is indeed seriously considering his future and if that proves to be the case, the Lilywhites will put together a bid for the summer window:
