Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has provided the latest on the wellbeing of youngster Emile Smith Rowe, following his early exit from proceedings versus Leicester City.

The Gunners made the trip to the King Power Stadium a short time ago, for their latest Premier League outing.

Arsenal of course headed into proceedings with their tails up, on the back of a potentially season-defining result in midweek.

After falling a goal down to Portuguese giants Benfica, the capital giants fought back, securing a 3-2 win, and booking their spot in the Last-16 of the Europa League in the process.

And, when all was said and done this afternoon, the upturn in form being enjoyed by Arteta and co. only continued.

As they did on Thursday night, the north Londoners fell behind at the King Power, when Youri Tielemans found the net with just six minutes on the clock.

Arsenal, though, soon came roaring back, as David Luiz’s header was followed by an Alexandre Lacazette spot-kick on the stroke of the interval to turn the clash on its head:

And the visitors went on to put themselves out of sight early in the 2nd-half, as Nicolas Pepe capped off a fine individual display with his 8th of the campaign:

Arsenal have now moved back into the top-half of the Premier League table, with things certainly looking up at the Emirates as we enter the final months of the season.

As outlined above, however, on an otherwise positive day for all associated with the club, the Gunners were also dealt a concerning blow versus Leicester.

This came late in the first-half, when Emile Smith Rowe pulled up with a fitness problem, before being forced to limp off.

In turn, concern had since spread amongst the Arsenal fanbase, with their midfield diamond having of course played a crucial role over the last couple of months.

Mikel Arteta, however, speaking post-match, revealed his hope that Smith Rowe’s injury will not prove ‘too bad’, as well as confirming that the issue proved a muscular one:
