Favre was sacked by Dortmund after leading the club to 5th in the table this season and a 5-1 defeat against Stuttgart. He earned the role at Dortmund due to his excellent work with Nice in Ligue 1. He was present for some the club’s most influential signings such as Erling Haaland and the rise of Jadon Sancho.
A move to Celtic would be tasked with clawing back the title after Rangers ended the club’s dominance over the nation’s football.
Henry open to Celtic job
Thierry Henry has since opened up the possibility of taking on the Celtic job.
Henry left Montreal Impact to return to the UK in order to be closer to his family. A job in the Scottish Premiership would fit the parameters of his work requirements.
“With all humility, whatever is going to come my way, I’m not saying that should come my way, but whatever comes my way I’m going to evaluate,” said Henry.

“I’m sure they’re going to work on what they’re going to work on. I don’t know what’s happening there, this is a club I respect a lot I’m sure like a lot of people in the world, but that I don’t know about.
“All I know is I want to coach and be back out there. You look at what Steve G done, and it’s just ridiculous. What a man. I knew he was going to deliver.”
