Real Madrid keen on Low
Joachim Low will leave the German national side after the European Championships this summer but where he will end up after is not clear. One route which has seemingly presented itself is the Real Madrid job according to German media.
Low famously ruled out taking the job when Zidane left in 2018 and Julen Lopetegui was eventually instated for a brief time.
“I absolutely rule it out,” Low said ahead of the 2018 World Cup where Germany were knocked out in the group stage.

“For me that’s not an issue, I’m now at the World Cup. I’m sure they will find a good successor for Zidane.”
Now though, with the coach available to choose his path, could he take on the role should the Frenchman either not commit to Los Blancos or simply not be offered a new deal?
Zidane not conclusive
Current boss Zidane’s most recent comments regarding his future did not leave Los Blancos fans with any firm confirmation that he would staying or leaving.
Real Madrid are currently 6 points off top spot side and city rivals Atletico Madrid. They were knocked out of the Copa del Rey by lower league side Alcoyano and face Liverpool in the last 8 of the Champions League.
“We’ll see,” Zidane said. “The important thing is the day to day, This is what concerns me. What happened has already happened.

“What I say is that those of us who are here deserve to work. Everyone can say whatever they want. What we are going to do here is believe in what we do.
“Why should I leave if I do what I like? You go through bad times, of course, that’s normal in life. At Madrid we know that it’s a great club and that what you have to do is compete. And, here, there will always be changes.”
