Arsenal vs Liverpool

One of the weekend’s marquee Premier League ties will see Arsenal and Liverpool face off at the Emirates on Saturday evening.

Both sides have not been at their best domestically this term, but it should still prove an entertaining affair.

Liverpool are set to head into the weekend’s action down in 7th place. The Reds’ home form has been pretty dire of late, and has been a key factor in why they have moved out of the European places.

However, before the international break, Jurgen Klopp’s side did pick up key wins over RB Leipzig and then Wolves.

And with just five points separating them and 4th, Liverpool can still secure Champions League football next term.

As for Arsenal, they have been pretty inconsistent in the league all term, drawing two, winning two and losing one of their last five league outings.

And though it is the Europa League that now looks to be the Gunners’ most likely avenue for earning European football in 2021/22, Mikel Arteta is still no doubt keen to see his side finish as strong as possible in the PL.

Jurgen Klopp on Firmino

Prior to Saturday’s game, Jurgen Klopp would speak to the media on Friday.

When doing so, Klopp would provide a positive update on Roberto Firmino.

The Brazilian has missed Liverpool’s las three matches across all competitions with a knee issue.

However, the forward is back in contention ahead of Arsenal:

“Bobby is back. All the others not and I have no idea about the Euros. They are all in the place they should be at the moment. I don’t have bad news or brilliant news.”
