Jessie Lingard has resurrected his career since joining West Ham in January to such an extent that there is a strong possibility he will make Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros.

Such is his impact in East London that the Hammers are keen for him to stay beyond this season, although they fear his price may have changed as a result of his recent performances.

The Athletic are reporting today that Manchester United may use West Ham’s desire to keep their player as a way of exploring if they would be open to negotiating a deal which could include Declan Rice.

Manchester United set to explore prospect of signing Declan Rice in any talks over Jesse Lingard to West Ham in summer.

Rice is currently out of action for  West Ham for at least the next month following picking up a knee injury whilst on international duty with England.

He is no doubt as important for West Ham as Lingard is proving to be, and his absence is going to be keenly missed as David Moyes men fight for a Champions League place.

Whether or not West Ham would consider including him as part of deal to keep Lingard remains to be seen. Any deal would likely involve Lingard plush cash for Rice.
