Arsenal have provided a fitness update on the club’s squad, ahead of their upcoming meeting with Sheffield United.

One eye on Slavia

Mikel Arteta’s men will of course turn their attentions back to matters on the domestic front in a little under 24 hours’ time.

The Gunners are set to make the trip to Bramall Lane, for a Premier League meeting with basement dwellers Sheffield United.

The clash, all told, is of little importance to Arsenal, with the club’s hopes of Champions League qualification via league finish having long gone out the window.

Instead, eyes are very much on the north Londoners’ Europa League 2nd-leg showdown with Slavia Prague.

Arteta and co. will head to the Czech capital with it all to do next Thursday night, after surrendering a first-leg advantage at the death earlier this week.

As such, the Arsenal boss will no doubt simply be keen for his side to come through Sunday’s action in Sheffield unscathed, with a clean bill of health.

And, as outlined above, ahead of the clash, updates on the members of Arteta’s squad currently on the treatment table have this evening been forthcoming.

The key names come in the form of Martin Odegaard and Emile Smith Rowe, with David Luiz and Kieran Tierney long-term absentees.

Midfield loanee Odegaard, as per the Gunners’ official announcement, is being ‘assessed’ ahead of tomorrow’s trip to Bramall Lane:

Right ankle. Martin has been experiencing discomfort to his right ankle since being on international duty.

Martin missed Thursday’s match against Slavia Prague and continues to be assessed ahead of Sunday’s match regarding his availability.

The same is said for creative partner Smith Rowe, who picked up an ankle problem versus Slavia on Thursday:

Left ankle. Emile sustained a sprain to his left ankle during the match against Slavia Prague on Thursday and is being assessed ahead of Sunday’s match regarding his availability.

Calum Chambers, though, is primed for a return:

Calum is now back in full training and available for selection, after missing Thursday’s match against Slavia Prague due to a slight knock.
