Reports stemming from England claim Liverpool are interested in signing Sparta Prague youngster, Adam Hlozek.
Who is Adam Hlozek?
Adam Hlozek is a product of Sparta Prague’s youth system and he has so far spent his entire senior career at the club.
That career, though, has admittedly been quite short to date, as Hlozek is still currently only 18 years of age.
Despite his tender years, though, Hlozek has already cemented himself as a key cog in the Czech outfit’s attack.
Zdeněk Ščasný, manager of Sparta Prague until 2019, has previously spoken about Hlozek and insisted he was featuring regularly in the first-team because he had earned it:
“Adam had no fear. In training, he looks as strong as in a match. He’s an extraordinary talent that doesn’t play just because he is 16, but because he has earned it.”
And even since Ščasný has left the club, Hlozek has continued to feature regularly for Sparta and has already notched 18 goals and 20 assists in 78 outings for their first-team.
Liverpool linked with Adam Hlozek?
Despite his tender years and limited experience in a top European league, Hlozek is already seemingly attracting interest from a big side.
According to Football Insider, Liverpool have set their sights on signing Hlozek this summer.
It is added that Liverpool scouts rate the youngster highly and have delivered glowing reports to the club’s recruitment department, with is believed he is capable of slotting straight into the first-team.
Hlzoek will have just one year left on his contract in the summer, with Liverpool perhaps hoping this will help them land the youngster on the cheap.
However, Sparta’s sporting director, Tomáš Rosický, claimed earlier this year that they were working to extend Hlozek’s contract:
“We have already started negotiations on the extension of the [Hložek’s] contract.”
