Torres impressing with Villarreal
Pau Torres is a product of Spanish outfit Villarreal’s youth system.
After honing his craft on loan with Malaga, Torres has since returned to Villarreal, where he has cemented himself as a key figure in Unai Emery’s side.
The 24-year-old has notched 38 appearances across all competitions for El Submarino Amarillo this term, playing a crucial role in their fight for a European spot and their place in this season’s Europa League final.
The seven-time capped international has also demonstrated his amazing passing range and ability on the ball over the last few seasons, a trait all top centre-backs need to possess in the modern game.

Man United linked with Torres
Now, after continuing to impress for club and country, Torres has seemingly caught the eye of a top club.
However, it is Manchester United who are now showing an interest in Torres.
Torres is a left-footed central defender who would likely make a solid partner for Harry Maguire.
And now, reports stemming from Italy suggest the Red Devils have a strong interest in the ball-playing defender.
Journalist Gianluigi Longari is reporting that Man United have held concrete talks with Villarreal for Torres.
The defender, though, is unlikely to come cheap, with it claimed that he currently has a €65m release clause in his contract, which runs until 2024.
