Donnarumma on the move

Gianluigi Donnarumma is a wanted man this summer.

The 22-year-old goalkeeper is a free-agent this summer, with his contract at AC Milan due to expire at the end of June.

Gianluigi Donnarumma will leave AC Milan as a free agent in the next weeks. The decision has been made and it’s confirmed by Milan director Maldini: the goalkeeper will decide his next club soon.

Milan have already signed a replacement too, with Lille goalie Mike Maignan having swapped France for Northern Italy in May. Maignan impressed in Ligue 1 this season, helping Lille win their first Ligue 1 title since 2010.

Juventus in the running on one condition

Juventus have been one of the clubs linked with signing Donnarumma this summer, along with PSG and Barcelona.

The Turin outfit suffered a disappointing season, finishing fourth in Serie A and crashing out to Porto in the Champions League round of 16.

Current shot-stopper Wojciech Szczesny made 38 appearances across all competitions for the Old Lady, but has become increasingly error-prone in recent seasons.

However, if Juventus are looking to make a move for Donnarumma, they will have to shift the Polish international first, according to Romeo Agresti, the Juventus correspondent for Goal.com.

Agresti said:

“If Juventus can’t find a club for Szczesny, they cannot move for Donnarumma because we are not talking about a free transfer. It is technically, but you have to pay 20M € commission to Raiola and he [Donnarumma] has a significant salary. “

“Si la #Juve ne trouve pas un club à #Szczesny, elle ne peut pas aller sur #Donnarumma parce qu’on ne parle pas d’un paramètre 0, il l’est techniquement, mais tu dois passer 20M€ de commission à Raiola et il a un salaire important.” ❌🇵🇱

He continues to say that Donnarumma’s agent, the notorious Mino Raiola, is demanding 20 million euros commission, while Donnarumma himself is demanding a “significant” salary.

It remains to be seen where Donnarumma ends up this summer, but if the rumours are to be believed, Juventus cannot move for the soon-to-be free agent just yet.
